Well done, Oliver! A simple way is to use Dreamhost, who let you choose www or non-www when you set up a new domain.

I always use a .htaccess file to redirect to a site to WWW if people don’t type in WWW at the top. I only add the WWW out of habit and that’s the way I’m used to doing it.

Of course, in most cases, people tend to link to the www version so it will give the most value as the one that doesn’t redirect unless it’s one of the rare cases where it’s the other way around but it’s true – either one works.
