Rich Schefren Is An OK Guy; I Messed Up

Author: Gabriel Goldenberg, December 13, 2007

Update: I messed up. Rich Schefren’s alright, and I apologize. Rich Schefren, of Attention Age, has turned loose a bunch of kool-aid drinkers on Sphinn. On the Upcoming/ What’s New page, there are loads of poor souls who made accounts and are submitting their links to his site. I don’t know if the idea is to gain dofollow links from Sphinn or a lame grab at attention, but in any case, I hope some mods catch on! Not only because I like Sphinn, but because this is killing legitimate stories’ chances of getting some worthwhile attention.

Let’s see some stuff from the Upcoming page:

Michelle Greene | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Andrew Lock | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Buddy Rathmell | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Randy Meyer | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Halcyone V | Attention Age Doctrine

Gavin Allinson | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Maureen Maples | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

Maurice Bachi | Business Coaching For Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs

It just so happens they all link to Rich Schefren and his Strategic Profits (StrategicProfits.com) site. Coincidence? I think not.

Rich Schefren, your Attention Age techniques are LAME! (As an aside, this reminds me of the Plugin-Profits (PIPS) victims who flooded Earners’ Forums a while back. Same pattern.)

  2. Touche! Seriously, I saw that and it was like, wow, isn’t that lame. The sad thing is that one of the people that got me into SEO, Yaro Starak, endorses this “guru.” Seems like Yaro will jump on any of these affiliate bandwagons lately, though I’ll admit he hasn’t yet sunk to promoting Day Job Killer.

Testimonials

"As someone with a strong understanding of advanced SEO techniques, I wasn't sure if an SEO consultation was something that I needed; however, I knew from Gab's articles that if I did, he was the person to go to.
Working with Gab reaffirmed that belief.
Gab did some link building work with me and also spent some time doing a phone consultation. He was the perfect sounding board for some of the big ideas that I've been planning on implementing, and he also introduced me to some concepts that I'm excited about trying. It's very obvious that Gab has a passion for SEO, and he's constantly working to not only be one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, but also to push the limits of the field by testing new ideas.
He was a pleasure to work with, and I'd recommend him to business owners with all levels of SEO needs."
