I tend to digg almost anything that is not "hey, refinance your mortgage" because I'm easy. Ok, no Ron Paul Has The Secret To The Universe posts either. But otherwise. The real trick, in my opinion is that you need tools to help you get a useful friend list and to automate a lot of the navigation and repetitive work around, say, digging. Lucky for me (gratuitous self promotion alert) we have a product in beta test which does all that.
